Cable TV alternatives other than Rogers and Bell in the Greater toronto area?

Hey All:
Can anyone suggest overall cheaper alternatives to Bell and Rogers for Cable TV service within the GTA, or are Bell and Rogers my only options? I am just looking for basic service, no HD or anything like that.

Thanks

I live in an apartment in downtown Toronto and cannot have a satellite dish, and checked around last year for alternatives.
As of November 2009, it is Rogers only if you rely on cable (Bell wasn't an option for my building).

Have you considered putting up an antenna?

Hey All,
OTA may not be a possibility for me because I live in a building downtown Toronto, and I have northern exposure. Has anyone here manage to setup OTA successfully in a building downtown facing the north?

How many channels are you guys receiving on average? Where can I go to see what channels are being offered?

Have you considered free legal Internet TV? I haven't paid a cable bill in years and can still watch every show I want to online ... some shows are broadcast in HD as well. All you need is a cheap HTPC.

Check out this article for more details.
