CableSalesCanada.com

This had been my replacement to Monoprice since their shipping price are ridiculous.

Cable Sales Canada price are really good and if you pick up from their warehouse you don't pay shipping.

How are their shipping prices, since reference was made to Monoprice shipping costs???

Edit: Checking, their shipping costs are no better. $10 for 2 HDMI cables, worth $10 total...
The first rule of RFD is, you do not talk about RFD.

The second rule of RFD is, you DO NOT talk about RFD.

I have used them in the past. They are good and also do local pickup.

Now open in Canada? Opening sale? Liquidation? Coupon? Discount? Free shipping? Limited time offer?

If none of the above, this is more like a shopping suggestion and doesn't belong in Hot Deals... thanks for the heads up, though.

I don't see the savings if your are not the GTA area,

For example I need this item : Monoprice 6ft 32AWG Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Cable - White

On Cablesonsale.ca cost with tax is $12.37 CDN plus $9.75 for canada post shipping = 22.12 CAD
On Monoprice cost with Tax and shipping is $10.38 USD or about $ 13 CAD, ( under $20 so no duty PST, GST)

Move to the GTA(where 2 thirds of the poster here are from)!

WHen I want/need something I'd rather pay a little extra and get it NOW, if I'm installing a home theatre I don't want to wait a week, and I NEVER order 1 item.....if I need one thing like that I run to CC and buy it there.

That's comparing apples and oranges. The $3.60 shipping from Monoprice is a non-trackable service and takes 7-10 business days (assuming no delays). The other one is ExpressPost, traceable and delivered next day to most of Ontario and QC. Secondly your $13 CAD estimate is based on average exchange rate, which is not what you are going to get from your credit card or PayPal... and on top of the crappy exchange rate they also take a couple of points for the FX service.

So, do you want it now, or in 10 days? That's the first decision point.
The second is, whether you think you will get dinged for customs and duties (which for $13 you won't)
And the third, what is it really going to cost you in CAD.

I think Clint said it best:
