Cakes from Loblaws (Bayview Village location) and Senses

Does anyone know which baker (company) the Loblaws at Bayview Village gets their cakes from? They have two kinds of cakes available, the normal ones that Loblaws makes themselves and the fancier ones that they order from another company.

I heard that it's from the same place where Senses (place that sells cakes across from A&W) gets their cakes too. Can anyone confirm this?

It would be really helpful if I could get the name of the company because I want to call and ask them if they can make a special birthday cake for a friend :D

sen5es is closed at bayview now

I know because i went yesterday to buy a bday cake that turned into a detour to downtown for one. I think they supply their own cakes, they supply the 5 star restaurants with cakes. You can call them but i donno if they will personalize a cake but you never know.

The Loblaws cakes might be made by Dufflets, but I'm not 100% sure...

Cakes at the St. Clair Market (overpriced offshoot of Loblaws) are usually from Dufflet's or LaRocca. You can't go wrong with either.

Their in store cakes are made by a sister company called Maplehurst (Ready Bake).

For their "fancier" cakes they have a number of different suppliers as mentioned such as Larocca, Sweet streets, etc.

Hi,
if you want a fancy (and very extremely resonable) cake shop in TO try:

http://www.stubbechocolates.com/homepage.html

they make custom cakes and can personalize them however you want.
I go to their ottawa shop and they have made personalized chocolates for people like running shoes, animals ect!

a small cake is about 24 dollars.

If it says "made with 100% real cream", then its a LaRocca cake.

Loblaws has LaRocca Bailey's cheesecake that is soooo good. It tastes perfectly smooth and not too sweet.

Loblaws gets the majority of its cakes from Larocca. I work with Larocca so I know all their products :)
