Alas, the problem with downgarding from an Athlon 64 3200+ down to a Dell 700m with a 12" screen and 'intel grahpics'. No CoD for me. Sucks.
SO how is it? Interesting to compare CoD multiplay with DoD (which came out yesterday)

Btw, CoD2 went gold yesterday and is out on October 25.

Oct 28th, 2005 01:17 PM #7Yeah, it was a letdown. Though to be fair I haven't played it all that much.

i got this today, its pretty fun, played some multiplayer too and it was very hectic.
it runs alot better on my system when i put it on dx7, as did the demo.
awesome stuff, the net code seems to be very good as i experienced little lag and was able to get headshots like nothing

Playing SP, just unlocked the US campaign...
I forgot just how amazing COD was. Does a great job of making you realize wars aren't won by a solitary soldier killing hundreds of enemies.
I'm amazed how smooth the game its... 1280x1024, 2x AA, Anistrophy on, "auto" textures and I average maybe 45-50 fps (possibly more, however I was too intent on playing the game). But even when it dips to 30, the game doesn't look or feel sluggish. Its like butter. Warm, gooey fresh-out-of-the-microwave butter.

Finished the game first on the hardest setting. Man it was such a blast. Best war fps ever.
Wish I could play it at 1680x1050 ..

My friend is obsessed with this game on PC
He says it sucks on Xbox 360 though.

Nov 29th, 2005 02:29 PM #13I played the demo maxed out on my PC and the demo on the XBOX 360. Looked so much nicer on the 360. Sure the controls are easier on the PC, but I still found it more enjoyable on the 360 using the controller. Maybe it was just the excitement of new hardware. Who knows.

I've rented the 360 version and it does not suck. Looks beautiful and controls well even while aiming with the analog sticks. Plus to get the PC version running at the level of the 360 you'll need a hugely expensive PC rig.

It's all about controls. Nothing beats Mouse & Keyboard.
