Calling people with SMC routers
hello
i have a SMCWBR14-G-CA wireless router and was try to do some portforwarding.
I know how to do it, just that i am not sure how to open a port range (ie 6000-6008), do u have to do them one by one like 6000, 6001,....?
i know on linksys and dlink you can just say open from-to port and you are done.
thanks

I think to do a range you'd have to type in, replace startport and endport with the numbers, obviously startport:endport

thx for the quick reply revert
but i have a different interface but its almost the same.
see the thing is that you it says "Public Ports" and "Private Ports" and you have to do them one by one, where as the pic below from a linksys router you can just open a whole range

Follow the guide on portforward.com , select your model, and then the app. Their guides are really well done.

Is it something like this:

Then to do a range, you'd do:
6001:6008 as an example._______________

Virtual server only allows individual ports to be set. If you want to open a range of ports then use Special applications. Trigger port is optional.
