I'd pick the SD800.
I have a DSLR for wide angle shooting.
The SD800 would primarly be for just random casual shooting. IS is nice for that sort of thing.
For my tastes (and it will vary from person to person), I don't really like the Kodak colours.

Camera check: Please help
I'm thinking of buying a camera through RFD and have a tough choice. Price is about the same so all things being equal would you buy
1) Canon SD800 IS
or
2) Kodak V705 (better zoom and wide angle)
Please help me out here.

Without even reading the specs, I would choose Canon hands down.
WHY??.. Cause when it comes to digital cameras, Canon is light years ahead of Kodak.

Given that choice, I'd choose the Canon. Just pray it doesn't brake.

+1 for Canon
I've owned many Canon cameras and none of them broke down on me yet. So I'm very satisfied with the Canon brand. Kodak on the other hand .....
