Can I claim EI if I failed a National Exam, but have been working?
I just found out that my friend had failed his National Examination for a Registered Nurse. He has been working under a temporary licence since June and has accumulated just over 450 hours. Once this licence states you fail you must notify the employer and you can no longer work.
I would like to know if he is eligible for EI? The employer must terminate him due to the fact that he no longer has a legitimate licence and he must wait to re-take the take and find results before applying again.
I tried locating the information on the EI website (http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/asp/gateway.a...=aed#Insurable)
but have been unsuccessful.
Thank you
