Can I cut the garage door track?

Hi guys,

I need to mount something and need to use the stud. However, the garage door track is overlapping the stud I need to use.

Can I cut the little piece of the track? Will it be an issue if I cut it?

If your photo shows the door fully open and you never intend to make a taller opening (and thus need the longer track), then cutting that extra bit is fine.

Yes, the garage door is fully open and I don't intended to make it longer

+1, no issues cutting that extra track. It's not supporting anything and never used.
