Probably, They may ask you for money, an eco charge (they charge you that if you do an oil change there, their disposal fee). I have been to CT on many occasions where there has been several containers of used oil outside of the automotive entrance door.

Why don't you just drop it off at your local recycling center? It's definitely free there (I do it all the time) and it is a pretty quick and easy process too. They also take oil filters, antifreeze and other household hazardous waste (like paint and solvents, etc.)

CANADIAN TIRE takes free oil, just drop it off at the service counter.

I just dropped it off at Canadian Tire, just make sure you let them know.

Other locations I didn't have a problem with are Costco and Wal-Mart.
