I'm a little out of the loop on this. I have an iphone 4 that I've managed to keep preserved at the original baseband of 01.59.00 and its currently on IOS 5.01. Is it possible to update this and still keep my unlockable baseband intact? Thanks for any help/info.

I believe if your iPhone 4 is jailbroken and software unlocked via ultrasn0w and you do update to iOS6 via iTunes, you'll lose the jailbreak and unlock feature.

I would use redsn0w to preserve the original baseband. I've done it the last 2 times and it worked wonderfully.
