i think you need to add the serial number into the Cogeco database...and Rogers CSRs are reluctant to do that...not sure with how anal Cogeco' CSRs are tho

can i use a rogers modem with cogeco?
i bought a rogers modem when i signed up with them about 4 years ago. we are moving to new city where rogers isn't available so I'm going to have to make the switch to cogeco?
can i use my existing modem to access cogeco's high speed service once i sign up or will i have to but a new modem from them? if i cant take it with, is there a market for these used modems? think i paid ~$100 originally
thanks

Simple answer. No. You can only use a modem provided by Cogeco (their is no rental fee, its just part of the monthly service fee, and if something goes wrong with it you just swap it @ no charge
).
