It will likely play those games pretty easy, but newer games like Oblivion and GR: War Fighter likely won't be able to have details cranked.

The only way you're going to get more detail is if you go dual vga, i.e. crossfire or sli. If you really want to save on load times you should definitely get a WD 10000rpm Raptor drive too.
BTW, how do you find the x1800xl AIW?

I was gonna get either crossfire, 7800GTX or 7900GTX after sold my laptop
but I got a trade offer for AIW X1800XL with 2 x 1GB Hynix Memory Set
Im sure 7900GTX or Crossfire will give me better performance on gaming but
thinking that AIW feature would be useful for encording stuff
Do you guys think that I should get a new mother board?

Are you serious that his rig will have trouble with Oblivion?
Here I was hoping to play the game one:
2.8Ghz
1.5 GB RAM (value varient, none of that low latency stuff)
Enough HD space (Segate 7200RPM 8MB cache)
ATI x700 128MB PCIe

Well, I guess I probably gonna make a trade with this member then
Just dont want to spend another 5~6 days at RFD to find VGA Card, Ram and
Dealing through PM then Arange meeting will take another 1~2 days
Wanna get Crossfire or 7900GTX but dont see any point of spending more than 500CAD on VGA Card
since all I will be playing HL2, CS2, Doom3, Winning Eleven9, WoW, Quake4, COD2 and GTA Series

yep he's going to have troubles running oblivion at higher than 1280x1074
i'm running opty 165 at 2.7, crossfire x1900xtx, 2gb of ram and can still only get details to 4AA, 16AF, HDR with minimal lag in wilderness at 1680x1050
