Can wire coathangers be recycled?

Have a pile of assorted wire coat hangers from drycleaners, not sure what to do with them.
Any ideas? Can they be recycled? Scrap metal?

+1, see if your dry cleaner will reuse them.. if not, I'm sure the scrap metal people will take them. I don't know that they are recyclable, they usually have a coating of sorts, like a varnish type coating to keep them from rusting I believe.

+1 for returning them to a drycleaner.

Also, sometimes schools or kids groups take them ie. to make mobiles, dream catchers, etc. They can do all kinds of things with them.

It looks as though they can't be recycled. They would have to go in the garbage if you can't find a reuse for them.

Most dry cleaners are pretty happy to take them back (as long as the cleaning is done on premises).

Make sure you keep a couple for yourself and a couple in the car. They really come in handy for all sorts of reasons.

THROW THEM OUT in the garbage. SO WHAT??? It's garbage!

Just toss it out .... you're wasting time looking for places to recycle and wasting gas to travel to places (ie. ummm ... recycle one thing but polluting with gas!) ...

If you've secured the important factors in the car with the screen a little bit start you can use the wall mount to seafood them off the chair and carry them through the screen.
Wire wardrobe hangers are excellent for unclogging empties, both bathroom and mess up. You can go sportfishing around in the strain and try to eliminate the impediment.
Keep some around the home for those urgent situation prodding and putting circumstances that need a durable bit of slim cable. For example, they are useful for getting things that are out of arrive at in cabinets.

either collect a lot of metal and post on kijiji for metal recyclers to pick up (has to be a sizeable load)

drop off at the dry cleaners. Some of them reuse them.

Yeah as these are steel wire so these are recyclable. We usually use it for TV antennae or Radio Antennae on a car or sell them to dry cleaners.

+1 we usually use it for TV or Radio Antennae purpose. But returning it to a drycleaner would be better.
