[Canada Computers] ADATA Ultimate SU650 1TB SSD (SATA) - $129.88

https://www.canadacomputers.com/product ... _id=122587

$129.88

So this guy is really only good as a secondary storage device (decent SSD media and file storage). It's technically a 1TB SSD at $129.88, but it's DRAMless and therefore should not be used as a boot drive.

If you're looking for the cheapest 1TB SSD right now, this is near the bottom.

God bless.

I agree with your remark, a lot of problem with ADATA and bad service.

Lots of hate here for ADATA. I own a bunch of their drives and have never had any issues.

There is nothing wrong with ADATA, but there are lots of problems with cheap, dumpster-level SSDs, which unfortunately ADATA produces a lot of. As opposed to Samsung or WD, which usually concentrates on the mid-range to high-end markets.

It's like people saying "GM/Chevy sucks!" when they have a wide range of vehicles - some certainly suck, but we have a Buick Enclave and it's been absolutely rock solid for 5+ years and usually gets high ratings within the SUV class.

High-end ADATA SSDs have no more issues than other high-end models, but all of these DRAM-less cheapo-junksters are ticking time bombs, no matter the brand.
