Would you recommend that for PS4 pro?
One of the best bang for your buck SSDs.

Got this for $179 around BF from Best Buy. I think it was at $179 for a good 2 weeks or maybe even longer.

Been looking for a 1TB SSD for my ps4 pro. Canada computer has the EVO 860 on sale.

Also saw it on newegg as well for same price.

The 500gb is also on sale if anyone wants lower storage.

don't think this will do anything special for your ps4 pro. just my 0.02

Damn... how did I miss out on those deals.. do u think price is gonna drop again?
If you don't want to miss a deal you must check RFD at least 100 times a day. It's become a reflex action for me. Between every task I do or as soon as I feel bored my fingers automatically open a browser and type in r and go to redflagdeals or if I am away from my computer it automatically opens the RFD app. Sometimes after browsing rfd I close the browser then accidentally open the browser and go to rfd again. For really good deals you must follow the rule of buy now, think later. It is always safer to buy it first even if you don't need it as you may change your mind after learning about the product or find out someone you know wants it and regret. Things can be refunded if you find out none of your friends and family want them either. And there is no such thing as off hours for a rfdealer. If you take an evening off you may find in the morning something you wanted went on sale but is now OOS.

If you google "ssd price drop 2019" there are many articles saying SSD prices should drop even further in 2019.

A lot of 1TB SSDs in various shapes and sizes (though not EVO) can be had for sub $180 price nowadays. Not sure if they are good or not. I would assume they all max out at around 550MB/s read/write speeds: PCPartPicker link

Short term prices are sale dependent so it's hard to judging.

Longer term the price is going down. NAND price forecasts just got revised downward again from a previous predication of 33% over 2019 to 50%.

Black Friday/Boxing day prices for the 1 TB drives like the 860 EVO and equivalent could likely be <$100 this year.

This is not an external SSD correct?
Not external. It's internal SATA.

SSD are just going to keep going down and down in 2019.

I always end up buying Crucial because they usually fill a slot below the Samsung Evo series for much cheaper. MX500 1TB keeps popping up at nearly $150 and performs nearly the same. Most of these things are pretty bottlenecked by SATA 3.0 anyway. Never had one die from crucial, still have one of the C300 from 2010 going.
