Canada Post says delivered but not?

Hi, does anyone have any experience with this?
I purchased an item Dec. 1. I have been waiting for it ever since. I logged in the account and noticed there was a tracking number put in by the seller.
I tracked it and it said it was delivered Dec. 10 to the community mailbox outside on my street. However, I have been checking my mail and never received anything.
The seller is telling me that it is already delivered and they can't do anything and Canada Post is telling me the sender has to file a claim.

I don't know what to do???

Let the shipper know that you did not receive the package and you will need the goods re-sent or a full refund. Let them know you'd be happy to assist with the Canada Post claim process.

Have you tried talking to your mail carrier? It's entirely possible some unscrupulous person has a key to your community mail station's parcel slot.

The sender can do something about it - they just don't want to get into contact with canadapost. If both items were purchased using paypal, you can file a claim within 40 days since payment was sent, I believe. That'll get them motivated, I think.

Also put in a claim with your credit card, that is if you paid for your item by credit card. Tell the credit card company that you never received the item and you shouldn't have to pay for it. Also redport it to the head of canada post. We have a main post outlet in my city and that is where I would start with my complaint, maybe there has been complaints from others about your mail carrier?.. One never knows...so find out where your main post outlet is in your area and that should be where your mail carriers manager is. Talk to the manager and see what is going on....parcels just don't disappear,

Also I like to go even further:

Appealing to the ombudsman
What you should know before appealing to the ombudsman

The complaint resolution process ensures that Canada Post has every opportunity to resolve your complaint.

You must first contact Canada Post Customer Service before appealing to the ombudsman. A Customer Service agent will attempt to resolve your complaint and provide you with a service ticket number referencing your complaint.

If Canada Post has completed its review of your complaint and you are not satisfied with its response, you may appeal to the ombudsman.

Once your appeal is reviewed and the decision is made to investigate, you will receive a notice of investigation. If your appeal cannot be investigated, you will receive our decision by email.
Important Information

A Canada Post service ticket number is mandatory for all appeals.

The ombudsman cannot investigate an appeal if all the relevant information is not provided.

my expresspost mail was given to my neighbor.it was signed for by my neighbor without my permission or knowledge.showed uo in tracking that I signed for the packages, not my signature. called cp and was pissed.emailed the sender and asked what's going on,cp says you have to file a claim. on a whim I knocked on my neighbor's door.yes, they where in his possession.this was after 8pm, never told me he was in receipt of my mail.
I don't want my neighbor any where near my mail.will speak with postal delivery person
I sent an email apologizing to the sender

I believe it is the sender that has to deal with Canada Post!! Call and complain to the sender tell them you didn't receive your package. You might be getting late to file a claim with you CC as it is paste the 30-day period. Don't wait call and start complaining to the sender!

F canadapost. I used to have great workers in my area until they hired a bunch of lazy scum. They just throw my package in front of my door now, too lazy to even ring the doorbell. They even did that to one of my packages which required a signature. I'm letting it get stolen next time so they can take the heat for it. This is just ridiculous. I'm fortunate to be in a good neighbourhood.
