Canada Post sucks!
Somebody is shipping me some coloured apple snails with a heat pack via Canada Post Xpresspost and she shipped it yesterday before the cut off time. It didn't get delivered today. It says RIGHT on their website that they deliver the next day if you are shipping locally or regionally. And most canadian centres 2 days. I am in Markham, she is in Barrie. Why advertise a service you cannot provide. stupid canada post.

Just claim for it. It seems like there are a lot of incidents regarding delays of Xpresspost.

I don't think you're allowed to ship live animals through CP...next time try using a real courier service like Fedex or UPS.

As long as the package ended up INSIDE for the night, I think your snails will be fine. You're in the GTA though and unfortunately it got cold tonight. Normally people will use regular mail for snails, so I wouldn't worry about the time factor.
UPS can be used for expensive livestock, but the price is around $60 (not worth it for snails imho). Fedex doesn't accept life fish (animals) at all.
Just wait till tomorrow. I'm pretty sure your snails will be fine.

I thought Apple Snails are tough little critters.
If you check out this area Broadview/Gerrard, downtown, they have 2 chinese aquarium shops that carry a lot of weird stuff. You might find them there.
Or check out aquarium services on Kennedy/Lawrence._______________

At first I thought you were buying apple snail candy. Then I read, they were actual snails....wtf no wonder why your mad(they might not survive long).
Canada post is dumb. Canada post is for the public. The majority of the public is stupid, like me. Make everything easier to understand on the site instead of making it complicated.
Canada post pays very high, but you could be another stupid person working there.
I've been there, and seen there lack of professionalism to the public like me.
I can elaborate.
Money orders are another thing. They do suck.
One of the few money orders I did buy, did not go through. This must be their secret way of making profit. Here it goes; you pay the $4.95 for a money order, 55 cents total for stampage. The money order envelope never goes through. Then by the time you get your mailed duplicate money order, and you want to get yourself a refund, which takes 90 days from the start of your first purchase of the money order. The currency rate from CDN-US drops, so you get less money. Nor is it truely a "refund" as they claim it to be on the website. It is more like, cashing the money order; you do not get your $4.95 which you get back for buying the money order.
On Canada post, all the info that is given to you is, if you want to get a refund, show up with the identifcation you need @ any post office and make sure that the other person has not cashed it in yet and bang, your refund is here.
