Class speed mean the minimum write speed that the card can do so different brands of Class 10 will obviously make a difference in performance; it's not a wonder for those who are using it for 720p it wouldn't cut it for this brand

I agree. Bought 3x 16GB cards of the same LX model and 2 of them died within a year. They weren't even used that often. Not even worth the hassle of RMAing.

Patriot LX Series is the cheap line from this brand, try to avoid this series by all mean.

I bought this in September at NCIX @ $19.99

Transfer rates are good enough for 1080p recording on my NEX-5R, no complaints. Though I don't think this price is spectacular.

I've been using a few LX series cards and so far they have been working fine.

Same here, no problems with mine. Not the best performance, but decent for the price.

I know a lot of you may have copies that work well, but there are too many reports of this line of cards failing and corrupting.

If I were you, I would avoid Patriot LX cards entirely and wait for sales on the Transcend (on sale for ~$20 regularly as well) and Sandisk cards. Nothing worse than losing half your vacation photos before you get a chance to copy them.

Patriot LX failed on me during a trip (lost half day of photos and video on Nikon)... just sticking with Sandisk now.
