Title says it. I thought there were Nike Clearance Stores around, but I guess those are all factory stores. This article states that the difference will be that the Clearance Store will actually sell products that are discounted from real Nike stores, whereas the Factory stores carry made-for-store items.

Apparently the store will open at the beginning of October. I'm definitely interested in seeing what sort of product will be carried and if there are actually good deals.
I still don't get the difference, the outlet stores carry last years or 2 versions old shoes. As well as a lot of random shoes on the back wall without the lid of the box anymore, I thought those all came from Nike stores.

With this store opening up, does this mean all the clearance stock (ie, the open box shoes at the back of every factory store) from the other factory stores will be moved here?

I'm not a sneaker head but they had a pretty decent selection of shoes. Tons of Kobe's, Jordan's (some retros) and Lebrons. I also saw a few pairs of Kyries and PG's. And then the usual mix of shoes including Air Maxes and Hurraches. Kobe Elites were going for around $100.

Problem is there seemed to be a secret stash of items that only the employees had access to. And the line was approximately 1.5 hours to check out. Someone did mention that they had another 7 skids worth of merchandise in the back that was unopened, so it sounds like new stuff should be put on the floor daily for the next little while.

I imagine it will be pure chaos there this weekend.

Will share the store news with someone. Might get a free visit to the mall as well (to check out clothing stores and Treasure Hunt).

Their selection is bland but I have been able to pick up Cortez "Compton" for $25 (tax in), Nike Flyknit Racers for $50, Air max zero for $50. At one point they had women's fly knit frees for 39.99 + 20% off + $10 coupon....do the math. Do the survey on their receipt and you will get a $10 gift code to use on your next purchase.
