Likely two things:

1) New products in the A5 and Q5
2) Fresh designs for existing models

Heck, we bought an Audi this year and we were never Audi people before.

IMO, a number of other things. Mainly reliability, though it is not perfect, a lot of issues have been corrected or eliminated all together. Along with great designs, the new A4/A5 especially, Q5 (I wish we had more), S4. The addition of diesel to the Q7, and A3 sometime this month.
Even though Audi is doing so well, we are still offering incentives, deals and cash back, as well as rates as low as 2.9%.

YTD means "year to date" or total sales for the year (middle column)

Two questions:
1) What's up with the A3? Why are so few being sold?

2) Those 1100 cars delivered in October. Are most of them being bought from inventory, or are they cars that were ordered a few months ago? I admit that I got the impression that Audi inventory generally was quite low...

Hyundai is doing really well. Not hard to see why, there prices are good and apparently the quality is up there too.
It's nice to see Acura doing better too (since some are made locally). I guess people are getting used to the new grill

i think this is because of the A4 and the North American mentality to find it ******** to spend money on a 'small car'

most people in canada buy audi for quattro .... and on the a3 when you price it out with quattro it's very close in price to the a4 which is a 'better' car in most peoples eyes.

we wanted a small car .... a small nice car ..... and we love our a3 -- but moneywise the a4 is better

Acura is doing well lately because they offer big cash incentives. Same for Honda.

it came out in 2006 here ... and 2010 got a small refresh (new headlights/taillights and minor interior)
