[Canadian Tire] Clearance on many Dewalt power tools - YMMV

Most Canadian Tire stores that I've looked at online have some great clearance prices on select Dewalt power tools. Prices vary by store, with some much higher than others. Availability is low.

I've listed the lowest prices I've seen (which all seem to be Whitby ON) below. I've seen some stores well over $200 on the same item that sells for <$100 in the same city at other stores (both marked In Store Clearance)!
DEWALT 18V NiCad Drill & Impact Driver Combo Kit - Was $299.99, now $99.93
DEWALT XR 20V Max Li-Ion Brushless Cordless Compact Drill, 1/2-in, Tool-Only Was $179.99, now $83.99 ** TOOL ONLY, NO BATTERIES/CHARGER **
DEWALT 18V NiCad Drill & Impact Driver Combo Kit Was $299.99, now $92.99
DEWALT 9A Mud-Mixer, 1/2-in Was $229.99, now $82.99
DEWALT 20V Max Li-Ion Cordless Compact Drill/Driver, 1/2-in Was $279.99, now $92.99
DEWALT 20V Max Li-Ion Cordless Impact Driver, 1/4-in Was $279.99, now $92.99
DEWALT 6A Disc Sander with Dust Shroud, 5-in Was $129.99, Now $64.93

I highly recommend shopping around your local area both for availability and prices. You can click the "Preferred Store" link in the top right of the web page, and switch stores to check their prices. Otherwise you can also use the "Check other stores" link if there's 0 on stock at your store.

Myself, I picked up the 20V impact driver which comes with two batteries and a charger. Then I added the 20V brushless drill. It has no batteries, but I should have no issues sharing the batteries between the two tools. As a bonus, I was in the market for a drill and driver (which is how I found these).

A few other things:
  • Prices in the one store's shelves that I looked at were incorrect. That is probably why they didn't sell sooner.
  • Buying online and picking up is recommended. I did have one store cancel an order however.
  • The original prices seem too high of course, but comparing to other retailers these clearance prices are amazing. e.g. Dewalt Impact Driver (DCF885C2) is $89 - $100 clearance at CT, $189 ("New Low Price") at Home Depot.

DEWALT 20V Max Li-Ion Cordless Compact Drill/Driver, 1/2-in with 2 batteries for $92.99? You are clearly trolling. Go to bed.

18v + Nicad in 2017?!?!?! The DEWALT 20V Max Li-Ion Cordless Compact Drill/Driver, 1/2-in (or impact 1/4-in) which comes with TWO 1.5ah batteries is a steal. You are essentially buying 2 batteries and getting the tool for free.

Not with those batteries. would be a good deal if it were 18volt XRP batteries

It sounds like it is an in-store clearance. As in, it might just be for that particular store. They might just trying to be getting rid of some of their stock.

I'm interested in buying these. It only comes with the drill/driver right?
How much are the bits separately? Do they even sell them separately?

Sorry, never bought/owned tools before!

Where am I? That is …
I don't need any of these tools, so I won't be buying.
But thanks for sharing OP.
Now if only they would clear out that Dewalt table saw I've had my eye on!
