[Canadian Tire] Kobot Robot Vacuum $99.99

The Kobot RV353 robotic vacuum is $99.99 at CT (reg price $399.99).

This isnt as advanced as a Roomba, eg it doesn't have a laser that maps out your house, it just randomly runs around and turns when it bumps into something. But if you let it run long enough it will eventually cover everything. And it does have some advanced features, like you can set it to automatically start at a specified time each day, and it will find its way back to the charging dock, and it will avoid falling down stairs.

The reviews aren't that great but those reviews probably come from people who paid $400 for it so they expect more, for $100 I think it's a good deal, and CT will probably replace it if it breaks.

Guys dont buy this. I got it when it was 135 few months ago. Tried to used it, it would stop running every few seconds. It was so bad, returned it after giving few tries. Now i have a shark ion, so much better got the shark when it was 230. Worth every penny.

I have one of these. I got it when it was $179.99. It works really good. It does a really good job of keeping the house clean. I have areas with carpet and it easily handles the bumps and raised areas.

The vaccum does not have smart features such as mapping or connecting to your phone.

I am in Ontario.

I'm not sure if vacuums can be returned, better ask before you buy if you're not sure about keeping it.

Thanks OP, picked up for $90.32 tax included. CT Warden & Eglinton (ON) is selling this for $79.93 so my nearest CT price matched. Not bad with 1 year exchange warranty.

Well I bought it and I'm not terribly impressed. The algorithm is just too dumb to figure out how to get everywhere.

What I've been doing is carrying it over to a specific part of my house I want cleaned (eg a single bedroom or a part of my living room), then blocking off all the exits with furniture, and letting it loose. It seems to work pretty well if you do that. But if you expect to just let it roam the entire floor and find its way into every room, you will be disappointed.

For $100 I don't regret buying it, but my next vacuum robot will have to have mapping. The problem is, only the high end robots have mapping and I am too frugal to pay those high prices. Hopefully they come down in price soon.
