Given that someone earlier in the thread said they were told the code would arrive for November 22, it's possible this code may be ready to roll in just a few hours (I just tried at 6:30pm MT and it doesn't work for me either). I'll try around midnight ET and see if it works then and post back.

*EDIT* Nope, didn't work for me.

Is the Gold plan still including 1 free oil change and a few discounted oil change coupons ($19.99)?

Does one have the pay taxes/shop supplies/environmental fees with the "free" oil change?

Yep, worked for me too with the code, 50% off Gold.

Refresh my memory--do we need to "activate" the membership if we buy it online, or does it simply take immediate effect? I went to the Activate page and it said only to use the online activation form if you bought a card in-store.

So follow-up question--is there any way to purchase the 50%-off code online, but defer activating it for when I need to renew my membership in about a year?

Called in a few moments ago to renew and the CSR applied the promo code automatically.

Thanks OP!

Only when buying in store.

Does this plan auto renew at expiry?

If they have your valid credit card on file, yes.

According to my confirmation it's doesn't seem to auto renew.
"Your Canadian Tire Roadside Assistance Membership for the plan indicated below begins twenty-four (24) hours after plan activation and is valid for one (1) year thereafter unless the membership is cancelled in accordance with the Terms and Conditions."
