[Telus] (CANCELLED) Free Admission to Science World at TELUS World of Science December 3

To thank the community for its support, Science World will be waiving the admission price for all visitors to TELUS World of Science on Saturday, December 3, 2011. The special event is made possible thanks to presenting sponsor The James Dyson Foundation and supporting sponsor Encana Corporation.

Visitors will be able to explore Science World’s new spaces at TELUS World of Science, including the 11,000 square foot Eureka! Gallery, the bigger and better Search Gallery, and the new Our World Gallery that overlooks what will become the Ken Spencer Science Park. Construction on the park has already started and it is expected to open in spring 2012.

Science World’s facility has undergone a $35 million renovation over the past year-and-a-half. The renovation has added on 30,000 square feet of space, a green roof, and numerous energy-efficient initiatives. The organization is still raising the last $3 million to complete the renewal.

For more information and to plan your visit go to www.scienceworld.ca.

Is the power outage really true?!? I just saw on the late news a night time shot of False Creek and the golf ball is all lit up.
