You can call and ask if they have a different modem that includes wifi. Is there a reason you want to do this? My understanding is that integrated modems+router are generally inferior to seperate modem and router.

I am using a tplink n600 wdr3500. The tplink n300 TL-WR841N gets good reviews including a number of top 10 'best value router' rankings. It is only $30 at best buy.

I am now on the CanNet network here in Cogecoland. I signed up for the 60/10 unl. package that I was paying 90$ a month with Cogeco. Now paying 45$ plus the rental fee for same service. I asked and received the CDA3-20 modem so that I would not need to swap out modems if I decide to go to a higher tier package. So far getting comparable, if not slightly faster speeds with CanNet. Last check I clocked 71/12 on my preferred internet speed checker site.

I saw their add on the subway I'm tempted to sign up but I have my cell phone and cable also through Rogers so I would have to change everything. I would probably just go with an android and a cheaper cell phone provider it kind of seems worth it. Are the speeds truly 100/10? anyone using CanNet?

Signed up for the CanNet 100/10 cable internet on January 13th (through a reseller) and finally got installed yesterday (Feb 1st). $39.99 per month plus $6.98 for the Cisco DPC3848. Speeds for far are good; last test this evening at about 5:40 gave 16 ms ping, 100.03 down and 10.15 up. The wifi on the DPC3848 is total crap, however. I put it in bridge mode and am using my own router. Will retest at different times to see how consistent service is.

Signed up last week (Saturday) for 100/10 cable internet for $40/month..Received Cisco wireless router modem through Canada Post yesterday and got the internet up and running today :) It took 1 week from sign up to installation. Rogers cable guy was friendly and only took 10 mins to set up cable line and another 10 mins, my internet was operational. So far, CanNet's customer service is very good.. Here is my initial speed test result.

So far so good, besides the fact that the F up my order and sent me the Cisco modem instead.

Also tried charging me extra even though the contract says otherwise.
