Canon FL Lens

My father just dug out his old Canon FT QL camera from the 1960's I think.

He's got two lens with the camera, a 35mm and a 50mm. Is there anyway to use these lens on a modern digital body? I'd hate to see them not being used as they look to be well built, and all the photos he's taken with them come out crystal clear where it needs to be sharp and pleasantly blurry where there needs to be bokeh.

im goign to go out on a limb and say you wont be able to use it. I have an old canon lense from a 1990 film DSLR and and it was not compatible. once the rebels came into play, that halted much of the compatibility.

It won't work unless you use an adapter.

There are adapters for FD to Eos, with 1.2x magnification. They may take an FL lens, but it would be completely manual (focusing and aperture). They appear on eBay for about $80 (Canon) or less for the Hoya.

not entirely true...

Not sure about the Rebel and APS-C cameras, but most EF lenses should work.

Sigma lenses prior 1999-2001 did not, or required a hardware update. I had a 14mm f3.5 rectilinear that worked every other day on my D30.
