Canon IP5000 ink cartridges
Anyone know where to get good quality ink for a low price?

I believe these are the colors for this printer: BCI-3eBk, BCI-6BK, BCI-6C, BCI-6M, BCI-6Y.

Buy them in Japan...only about $11 Canadian.
It's only North America that has very expensive ink and cheap printers...
It looks like Blankmedia.ca doesn't have Canon Genuine so the question is...do you want geniune or remanufactered cartridges? There's a big difference in price.
Canada Computers has geniune Canon Ink...
http://www.canadacomputers.com/index...d=pl&id=CT.984
3eBK = $15.99
6BK = $14.99
The rest are all about $14.99 as well.
No too bad for original ink.

I just purchased ink for my IP5000 printer from www.inkgrabber.com
They are supposed to be one of the best quality and colour wise. They are US based but since the Canadian dollar is strong they are a good place to buy. If you sign up for the newsletter they will send you a coupon code (current code "blue" will get you 20% off your order).
I was able to get all 5 cartridges for less than $25.00 USD including shipping to Canada and the shipping is fast and I was not charged tax at the border.

just ordered a set of ink to try out from inkgrabber. I broke my old printer with 3rd party inks so I hope this ink is good.
Although this time I bought 3 year warrenty with the printer. So I can abuse the printer head with 3rd party inks all I want and get the thing replaced free (of course I will not tell retail that I was using 3rd party inks.)
Even with canada computers being $5 cheaper per cartridge then most places on ink, a full set was still coming to $131 after tax. Unacceptable. Inkgrabber cost me only $37.71 CAD with the "blue" cupon code. Its still working after so long lol.

I bought it because I was looking for a replacment to my i560. I found that today on the market, all printers that just printed were of really crappy quality, thus my options for a >$200 were out the window. Then I found that all the good quality photo printers came with a whole bunch of extra crap. The printer I ended up buying has A freakin 4 inch LCD screen on it with onboard editing functions and memory card slots and everything you could imagine. The thing is, I NEVER use those as I do all mereal editing and croing and all that in photoshop. I feel that more then 50% of the cost of y printer was wasted money on the lcd screen and all the extra functionality which I will never use.
I wish I knew how to disasemble that LCD screen. Perhaps I could use it for something other then have it sitting there going to waste.

recieved my ink today. A Little dissapointed it took 1.5 weeks, but the ink is good quality. I cant tell a difference between the real ink and this fake ink. (3 of my 6 cartridges are still on original ink tho)
1 thing that annoys me is that the cartridges do not come with a micro chip. This means I had to pop off the chip from my official cartridges (upon which I damaged the photo cyan chip). I was forced to goto the store and buy a genuine canon tank to get that chipa gain
. Also, these new tanks do not let you read the level of ink at all in the printer. It displays them as 0. You need to keep checking the ink levels then to make sure none are getting low or you could damge the printer head. Personally Im too lazy to do that tho and will just wait until I noticed an off cooloured photo printed.
