Strangely while it had a standard USB-USB connector area that never worked ("recognized") and I'm relatively tech savvy. So I had to use a type B USB connector to hook it up.
And not too long ago, I'd say maybe a year. Then again, the printer was on sale so maybe tack on another year from its original production.

I bought the Brother MFC-295CN at Staples for $59.99 on Boxing day at Staples.
How does that printer compare with the Canon one?
