Clearly I don't watch enough of this content since I don't know who she is...

But she is Canadian and I'll do my patriotic duty and watch all her content...

With my right hand, I grieve salute you....RIP

Whoa - articles are saying she starred in over 290 movies...I got some catching up to do!!

Seems like more to the story. A few tweets don't lead to Suicide.

Maybe not but it could be the thing that puts someone over the edge. Apparently August suffered from depression. RIP 23 is too young to die.

The shittiest thing about all of this is that I don't see one Canadian news outlet talk about this story.

Gay/gay loving trolls drove a 23 year old girl into suicide. Doesn't fit the liberal narrative I guess.

CNN hasn't said anything either. This shit has gone on too far.

I've seen a few. Sorry but not one of my favorites.

I will never understand how anyone can let SOCIAL MEDIA take their own life or be bullied. Sorry, being honest here it's pathetic.

Even here this whole down vote system is pathetic, life is too short to let the "internet" get you down.

I don't think it was just the cyber-bullying, seems like she had a lot of issues stemming from suffering from sexual abuse when younger to depression\biploar as well as alcohol and drug abuse to escape her demons. Interestingly enough, she sounded the alarm on the prep but no one believed her (relevant in this day and age) - seems like it was her paternal grandfather that abused her and her own father didn't believe her - man, that's rough

I can't believe she was only 23, thought she was older than that. Too bad she wasn't able to get the help she needed.

Condolences to her family. It is sad to lose a human life.

Real truth. How the heck does one get "off" or aroused to any of these people in the adult industry when you know, or at least you should if you read articles and studies, that the majority of these performers were sexually abused as a child and as a result they are simply broken individuals". This is the real tragedy, sexual abuse, or any form of abuse from childhood that has left deep scars on the individual and that goes untreated, and the person is unable to recover and live a life worth living and is seeking "something to feel happy".

Getting "off" on these individuals who have been sexually abused as children seems awfully sad to me, and I see it as if you the individual are doing the same exact thing that was done to these adult performers as a child, only now they are older. It's as if the cycle repeats itself.

In the case of Mercedes Grabowski/August Ames, she was raped by her grandfather as child and her father never believed her. She dealt with depression, bipolar disorder, drugs, alcohol, and flashbacks of her childhood on a constant basis. The real tragedy is that these people do not get the professional help that they desperately need. We need to protect these individuals from more hurt and pain, the sex industry is not that industry. The father and her family, anyone who never believed her, has played a part in all of this too.

Bloody hell, what a tragedy of life.
