Can't get 3G on rogers network with Nexus S! Help required!
So I just bought a Nexus S form a guy on Kijiji and I can't seem to get 3g to work on the rogers network. I know that it is not a Wind phone as I put my Wind sim card in the phone and I was automatically put into the Wind away zone and I could see I had an R on my status bar. It is showing all of the symptoms of being a Wind phone, Edge network only and calls and text work fine, but doesn't semm to accept it.
Can anyone out there help me. I am by no means a phone person. Just switched from an Iphone 4.
Here's some info about the phone;
Baseband version: I9020XXKF1
Build number: GRK39F
Network: Rogers
Mobile network type: EDGE
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!

You need to manually add the Rogers APN info into your wireless network settings.
(menu button -> wireless & network settings -> mobile network settings -> access point names -> menu button -> new APN)

Does this mean it is an AWS phone as I looked on the internet and it states it uses 900/1700/2100 frequency?

Yes.
T = Mobilicity/Wind
A = Telus/Rogers/Bell/Fido

Try a refund or swap it on kijiji/BST for a rogers compatible version. You need an i9020A.
Also make sure to have a rogers/compatible SIM on hand when getting the phone and plug it in to test the functions.
