definately Dexter! very creepy at times though, I haven't seen S5 yet, gonna be hard to top John Lithgow
Six Feet Under, get a Rx for Prosac as it gets depressing later on with all the bad things happening to everyone
Sons of Anarchy, biker Sopranos, intense
Sporanos, changed tv forever for the better
True Blood for a Bon Temps
Battlestar Galactica, big & dark & addictive
Fringe, not as gritty as the above but enjoyable
Weeds, lighter & fun
Supernatural got good with the Angel vs. Demons story arc
Lost, cryptic & addictive
Smallville, a guilty pleasure to watch
Angel, another guilty pleaure!
24 is alot of bang for your buck

I finished watching this series today. I'm glad I waited, it got better near the end of season 2. Season 2 finale was my favourite. Season 4 was probably my favourite season, but it was just too depressing at the end.
I thought it was great, but not "omg this is the bestest tv series ever" great.Last edited by Mykester; Oct 29th, 2011 at 08:39 PM.

Kind of off-topic, but I started watching Breaking Bad (netflix) about a week ago. Currently on season 2 and the show is AMAZING probably my favorite show. The pilot episode alone is better than most movies I've seen.

Just started Season 4 of The Shield and it's absolutely brilliant. While I think that The Wire is probably the more important show, Shield is definitely more entertaining from episode to episode. Fantastic guest stars too.

How can you start watching The Wire in season 3? It's all connected, no?
It's not that hard to get into season 1 -- you just have to have patience to sit through a couple of episodes.
I like The Wire a lot, but it's loved by a few too many social engineers to feel completely OK about it or to think that it has anything to say to us beyond entertainment value.
There are a lot of social-engineer types that use The Wire -- a work of fiction -- to justify their own ideas about the world

The Wire is the s***, but as others have said S2 is def a snoozer, had to force myself to sit thru that season, WTF were they thinking? Surprised they didn't get canned after that.
If you can I'd advise to watch Wire's seasons in this order, 1 > 3> 4> 5> Then season 2 if you need to get ur fix. But if you can just skip it all together.Last edited by Neovingian; Feb 13th, 2012 at 09:25 AM.
