The announcement is appreciated. Let's me know the problem is not on my end.
There is no way to give an upvote for doing so though.

Thanks to the admins!

Yeah. I wonder how many people wasted their time changing (and changing and...) their passwords just because the messages said so.

Whenever a new server fires up to accommodate an increase in traffic you might see that if you hit the server at the right moment. As far as I can tell (and I saw that error too) it was that and not anything related to the log in server issue.

Problem was back again last night. The status box on the top right showed me as logged in but when I went to post I couldn't. There were no posts for hours last night

If you guys need any more baling wire and duct tape to help keep this site jerry-rigged together, please don't hesitate to put an RFD community charity request in the announcement/status box.

And users know it's the same issue because......? That was posted over two weeks ago. Should we assume every time we have a login issue in the future that the same issue is to blame? Wouldn't it be easier to update the announcement every time there is a significant outage period than respond to all the forum chatter and support emails?

Yes. It's an ongoing issue at the data center with no change in the current status.

The site admins have engaged their third party vendors to get this resolved. If they have any new info that they can share I'm sure they will do so.
