That's correct, during the last time I had issues logging in.
So far so good, as I just tried logging in via mobile and while still logged in on PC; without any issues.
That does sound annoying so I'm glad it stopped happening. If it does happen again please let me know.

Hmm the site hasn't been loading correctly all day. I tried different browsers. For example I can't see the 'profile' tab that shows notifications and PMs (it's the looping loading circle).

And the reply box in all threads is missing.

I haven’t noticed anything weird happening today. Can you try logging out and back in? If that doesn’t help try clearing your browsers cache.

@Quentin5 Sorry about that! We had a non-standard deployment process because we had to install a new phpBB extension, so I had to clear the cache. I know how to avoid the slowness next time. On the bright side, embedded external images should now be served over https only, because security!
For inquiries, please message TomRFD.

Got downvotes because I raised this issue . I'm not the person who caused the login problem :(

Indeed, and they said they were getting rid of downvotes for posts (but not threads). Hasn't happened, but the thread downvoting would still be around regardless

This problem came back
Sorry, we had problems logging you in. Please correct the errors below:

There was a problem connecting to the login service.
By any chance related to AWS and perhaps them doing upgrades due to Meltdown/Spectre

Same here had problems logging in on Chrome mobile, I was actually already logged in as I could see the number of new subscription updates, but when I tapped on it, it asked me to log in and I never could.

The login servers aren't controlled by us (almost everything else is).

Their data centre had a major outage last night. The downtime was about 3 hours.

Still having an issue logging in. Earlier today I couldn't login at work so I reset my password but still couldn't login. I tried to VPN into my home computer and couldn't login through that either (using Chrome but also tried Internet Explorer). I just went to RFD now at home and I am logged in automatically... Weird...
