I feel kind of bad for Clouts. He's competitive, but this has got to be a real setback in his career. He faltered badly during pivotal games for the Canucks but he gave them some good regular seasons though. I thought LA would be the place for him to redeem himself, but he is so injury prone that he could never play 65+ games like other starters. At this stage of his career, he is probably only an experienced back-up at best.

10 shots against the Sharks. Nice.
My brother was reading the paper the other day...
Him: Linden, Kesler, Morrison, and Mitchell all tweaked their groins.
Me: ...at the same time? That sounds dirty.

Asked why the nets have to be bigger, Bettman replied, "Look at the size of soccer nets...they are huge, yet soccer scores are so low. I want our nets to be twice the size of soccer nets. Hopefully, scoring will go up and maybe we will also bring in the soccer fans."
In all seriousness, I hope Luongo just had a knee jerk reaction to a ridiculous proposal to make the nets bigger._______________

That makes no sense whatsoever. Soccer nets are huge and scoring is low. By having soccer-sized nets he wants scoring to go UP. And soccer fans will watch because of the soccer-sized nets?
You want more scoring? Get rid of 12 power plays a game for each team. There are no highlight-reel goals scored on the power play: only on shorthanded breakaways. The cutting down on obstruction is good, but when teams are short-handed for half the game, the fans don't get to see the stars play.
The NHL has really gone to the dogs the past couple years: from one extreme (trap) to the next (excessive penalizing.)_______________

I've never been to a Canucks game: the tickets are way too pricey for my tastes.
Updated OP with scores, and added record to title._______________

Even though pricey, you should really check out a live game at least once if you're a fan. The atmosphere is amazing (well, depending if we're getting slaughtered or not) and all seats are decent at GM Place. I try to go to at least a couple games a season. Really though, if you go even just once it will probably be a memorable experience.
