Another OT game tonight, team seems to be slumping but still finding ways to win. Bitz looked good against Nashville.
There are rumors swirling that Bryan Allen might be coming back, would be a decent pick up.

The Canucks totally did not deserve to win against the Avs today but man, 59 minutes of poor play saved by Kevin Bieksa's dive, a stanchion bounce and a Bieksa goal got at least one point for the Canucks and solid shootout performance by Luongo got the other point.
http://www.theprovince.com/sports/ho...286/story.html
Also, Kesler pointed skyward after his goal because his grandmother passed away yesterday, obviously dedicating it to her.Bieksa's Superman dive across the ice kept a TJ Galiardi backhand from going into an empty Canucks' net with 47 seconds left. Twelve seconds later, at the other end, one of Bieksa's most consistent teammates, the stanchion, set him up for the improbable tying goal.
"I'm nice to the stanchion," said Bieksa, who slayed the San Jose Sharks with a similar goal in the playoffs. "I go over in warmup and give it a little love tap with my right shoulder and my left shoulder.
"Honest to God. It's not the reason but I'm getting some good bounces off them, so I'll keep doing what I'm doing."
*snip*
If that stanchion play happened to Tebow, ESPN would talk about it for weeks. But the Canucks would be wise to talk about something else during the next two days. That's because the stanchion just outplayed nearly their entire team.Last edited by Haz; Feb 4th, 2012 at 10:10 PM.

Good to see a 60 minute effort (well, maybe a little laid back after the 3rd goal) and a regulation win last night.
Lappy's been doing well this year.

I god damn love Lapierre. He was such a steal for us. He's been solid, and you can tell he's getting better at fighting. Next time someone wants to talk smack about Lapierre, they better be willing to back it up, because Lapierre certainly will.

Naturally we own the garbage calgary team, yet lose in the useless shootout. Unfortunately for the Lames the shootout won't save them in the playoffs, if they are lucky to get there. We own them when we actually put in the effort because they suck.
Hopefully we start owning some fools like we usually do. By march, I hope this team dominates like I know they can.

Awesome game. It was total domination by the Canucks. Malhotra's goal was unbelieveable.

This is classic Luongo. I still remember the fans and the media throwing Luongo under the bus. Even the Province's editorial team wanted him gone. Now that we're deep into the season and Luongo is playing well, his critics have been silenced.

I was at the Nucks/Leafs game and it looked like men among boys. We completely outplayed them in every facet of the game. Dion Phaneuf is still the same Dion from Calgary, when you see him play live you see how bad he really is in his own end. I would put him at par with Bieksa, if even that.
Best part of the game was all the Leafs fans, they were chirping before the puck dropped but were quickly silenced.

Better angle than what Sportsnet had for the Burrows shootout winner.

I hope you chose the Canucks cause that game was amazing! I literally jumped off my couch when Danny scored. All of the games against Detroit this year have been great, this would make for an epic Western Conference final.
I hate that angle Sportsnet goes to during shootouts, they should just stick to the basics.
