Hey Everyone,
I have posted on the forum before concerning a BA position and so far no positions have come up which I have been called in for an interview. Currently working at a bank as a teller has become very draining and job searching is pretty demoralizing. I am pretty lost on what I should do, I am pretty desperate looking for a job where I actually accomplish something useful rather than being a bank teller. I have even tried applying to some unpaid internships and still not even a call back. I have thought of going back for my MBA but that could be disastrous as well as having bank teller experience with an MBA will get me no where. I currently have a BBA and am even having trouble on what types of jobs I could even apply for within Vancouver as the job market is pretty scarce here. Any ideas on what my next step should be?

Do an MBA with a co-op program. Get the experience while in school, and get $20-25 an hour during your co-op. I've seen people do that, and that has often translated into a solid job.

First of all, the BA role is generally a mid-level position. Most people have at least 4-5 years of experience before they can even break into the BA role. It's near impossible for a bank teller to transition into a business analyst role. You need to work in the business side for a while, learning different products or systems - basically gain business domain expertise. Couple that with some training/courses in business analysis and then you can have a shot.
