I'm in cogeco land 40/10 in hamilton paying 29.99. Been with them for more than a year and had no major issues getting solid 45/11 on speedtests.

Problem with upload speeds persists in Scarborough, download speeds are acceptable. Getting 0.75 meg upload speed on the 75/10. Hope they fix this, I upload, and my LTE data will be over this month because of it.

Talked to Rogers today, about 10 minutes ago.

The rep I spoke with was from Moncton, but confirmed 100% that there is 'major fibre damage in New York, not expected to be resolved until next week'

So, that's fun :)

Latency and Upload speeds have been bruuuuutaaaal ... this is so frustrating

I am so happy. I get the advertised speed of 75/10. I just got it installed today. No drilling needed, used a existing hole.

I am going to leave the modem as is but turn off the WiFi and change the IP and use my own wireless access points.

Or should I put it in BRIDGE mode???

Carrytel sucks. Hate to say it. I've had it for 2 months and nothing but issues. At one point the internet went down for 4 days. They said it was a Rogers issue, but FOUR DAYS! They didn't even seem to care when I told them. Not to mention even though the speed tests show they are 70 mbps, all the videos I watch buffer. Sites fail to load. Even some apps don't work when I'm connected to the Carry-tel wi-fi. I have to turn off wi-fi on my phone and use data in order to get it to load. Also, I'm not sure what's wrong with their Citron router, but none of my wireless printers or scanners work with it. I told Carrytel to give me a new modem/router and they could care less about trying to help me. I had Teksavvy before, and even though the video quality would degrade due to the bandwidth, it would still always load. Can't say the same for Carrytel. I'm cancelling the service this week and going with another provider.
