It would make us closer to a world class city (not).

Casino in Toronto?
http://www.thestar.com/News/GTA/article/237580
Hmm... A fully loaded casino in Toronto... Could be interesting!Mayor David Miller and several high-ranking Toronto councillors yesterday said they would consider a full casino at Woodbine Racetrack to help dig the city out of its financial misery.

If the casino is run like the city is run we may have the first casino in history that consistently loses money.

For some reason, I can only thing of the Simpson's episode where they decide to build a Casino there?
Remember when Simpson's was cool and everything in life could be related to Simpson...

A Casino should have been built a long time ago. Toronto is in dire need of one, when Montreal has one, and cities like Edmonton and Calgary has a bunch. I should NOT have to be force to drive over an hour just to get a game of poker in, the closest sanctioned poker room is in Brantford and Niagara Falls. The problem has always seemed to be that the province would object to it, so that people can flock to Casinorama and go to Niagara Falls for tourism.
I'm all for a casino being built in Toronto. Heck doing so would be first thing that Miller has done right for the city.

I think they need to better manage the money before trying to get more moeny (just to be wasted away). It's a good idea to generate revenue but on the other hand hald the revenue will be wasted so making it pointless.

Trust me, its terrible as-is..
I was at woodbine a few weeks ago.. just to pass the time.
Saw a guy sucking in $100 bills into..... get this... Penny Slots!
I was playing $5, but he was playing max bet, which is 1 cent, 25 lines (25 cents) with a 50x multiplier.. $12.50 per bet! in 5 minutes he must've put in at least $1000..It never even delivered a single bonus round out of it.
He was hitting the machine when he lost too much, and kept doing a weird wiping motion (I guess to wipe away the bad luck?)
I dunno.. I was in awe.. These machines run on a version of Windows XP..so I don't know what wiping and hitting will do
But anyhow. Full casino, sure why not?Last edited by CodecX81; Jul 19th, 2007 at 02:55 PM.

Montreal has a casino. And all I see is old people inside losing their pension funds yet coming back everyday. So the answer is NOOOOOOOo
