This is the first time I bump an old thread... so go easy on me...
According to Zip.ca, the North American DVD of Casshern is set to be released on October 23rd, 2005. However, I asked Zip their source, and they said they get all their dates from Amazon, DVDSoon, and EmpireDVD. The thing is, I can't find it anywhere on those sites.
Also, according to IMDB posts, the movie is set to be released in North American theatres some time in November or December.
Does anyone else have any information? Perhaps any thoughts/comments on this movie?

It's interesting, I will give it that... but some of it was odd and not so good. If you want to buy it, there is a fairly inexpensive North Korean R3 version compared to the region 2 which costs like 70$ us.

visually wise it looks great. If you liked casshern I would highly recommend Avalon, it's the same type of art style and its from the director of Ghost in the shell.
The best way to describe Avalon is it is a mix of matrix, ghost in the shell, and casshern

the eye candy is great, the story is pretentious pseudo-existentialism.
worth watching just for the visuals

Yeah, great... but with the Silent Hill movie you've got better eye candy, better story, better everything! Even though it's hard to compare, you should really check out Silent Hill yourself.
