It is a shame they have added one more seat per row to 11 in their B777 just like AC.
On a full flight it is just unbearable.

Desperate time for Cathay. As they trim and cut corners to regain customers they'll lose all the things that made them once a great airline. It's like a restaurant trying to cut the portions to stay afloat. People aren't dumb.

Just curious where you found this as I can't find anything to support your claim. Cathay flies 77W on the YYZ-HKG route, which comes in 3 and 4 class variants (economy in both is 3-3-3 config). Air Canada currently runs 3-4-3 on both the 77W and 77L.

In any case, any combination of 11 seats per row is unlikely and probably impossible....I don't think you can physically fit that many in either variants of the 777.

The 3-3-3 seating isn't too bad if you manage to get a seat in the middle aisles (D,E or F), but if you have the window seat, that would suck. As far as deals for Cathay goes, this is pretty good; haven't seen flights this cheap for Cathay in a while

I believe andreid is counting the rows as a 'seat' as well; which is 'technically' correct since the seating number goes from C to E and seat 'D' refers to the aisle

This isn't that low right? I usually go there when it is around $600-$800

Thanks for posting "hawflakes" [OP] and welcome to RFD but cold deal.

You can have $800 from YYZ to HKG (with 2 stops) or $900 with (1 stop) with Korean Air on a regular basis.
If you find my posts useful, an upvote would be appreciated.

The $600-800 flights will never be from Cathay. They are usually 1 or more stop flights by other carriers. Cathay has much better service, food, leg space, and maybe I am bias, but the passengers seems nicer too. Cathay usually charges cheap when its 1200. Other airlines cut on those things to save you money especially over booking and beatings, but that's the price you pay for a ticket half the price. I know some people prefer to have stops just so they can smoke.
