Cecil 'Big Daddy' Fielder in hiding after blowing $47 mil on gambling :(
Sad story really fellas
http://www.detnews.com/2004/tigers/0...a01-306142.htm
I always enjoyed watching him back in the days with the Tigers. Scary to think what gambling could do to you. But c'mon to blow $25K in less than 20 min ? Prolly playing blackjack and double-down or split like crazy
Oh well i guess it's a lesson to be learnt by all, can't win at casinos, hope Big Daddy got all the help he can need soon._______________

Sure the casinos always win but not because they beat you every time. I've beat the casinos every time until last night. They just have to beat you once and they make up for all that they lost before.
And as long as you don't lose, you'll keep coming back.
I went "all-in" on a hand of blackjack and I wasn't even close to winning.
Play for fun. 0.1% of your salary once in a while is prolly more than enough._______________ITEMS FOR SALE

I'm not a baseball fan but it says he retired as well?
I remember his name years ago when I used to watch the odd game or so.
Sad to read the story.

Wow. a couple days ago I read an article about Cecil Fielder and it quoting him as saying "I'm gonig to be a man and pay my debts" or something like that...at the time I wondered how, given he has no income.. I hope the guy is safe and can get the help he needs.
