Cell Phone Forum

Hey,
I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but I'd really like to see a Cell Phone Forum. There's so many posts on that specific topic in the Computers And Electronics Forum, that it would be nice to have a designated spot.

Not that a cell phone forum would be a bad idea, but I gotta say that I don't see that many cell phone related topics in the computers & electronics forum, and I check that forum on a regular basis.

the week I joined RFD., I brought up a question about it, and it died.

If you do a search I'm sure you'll find it.

Nevertheless, I'm still a 'yes' for the question. Who knows, perhaps in two years we've gained a LOT more interested parties.

Besides, if there is a forum created. It will be dominated by GSM (Rogers / Fido) technology. Bell and Telus section will be purely for bitching.

Yes, exactly the reason I came back to post about it, (and inform others here who may have questions to have a peek, lol). RFD is one of my favourite forums, however, for additional information on the cell phone topic, I now visit HOFO as well.

Besides, if there is a forum created. It will be dominated by GSM (Rogers / Fido) technology. Bell and Telus section will be purely for bitching.

Wonderful! The more information the better. Those of us who are new to this, can make better informed choices. If you're not interested in cell phone talk, you can simply bypass that forum, and go directly to the computer and electronics forum where you will find a great assortment of topics.

Buying a new cell phone and plan can be very confusing. Having a forum for it would be useful. Telling people to go elsewhere is stupid because:

A) Other than deals, there's somewhere better for EVERYTHING that this site has a forum for
B) That's a loss of advertising dollars for RFD

So, why don't the admin take into consideration that my poll shows their members are requesting a forum specifically for cell phones? That would keep people like myself here when needing cell phone information. RFD is awesome, but I can get more information over at HOFO for the cell phone subject.

If we can get a forum started just for cell phones, that would generate more talk about that subject because it's there in plain site, and perhaps more advertising dollars for RFD (I'm not aware of how that works, sorry).
