Chaintech AV710 and Z5500s

How will these two pair up? Was thinking of the inferno Sondigo but it is kinda pricey. I do want surrond sound when watching DVDs however. Does the AV710 allow this via the optical out?

Is the inferno Sondigo overkill if I am just watching DVDs, listening to music?

I have my AV710 paired with the Z680 and it sounds beautiful. Make sure you media player is configured properly to output through optical
