I currently have a 2002 Lexus RX 300. Bought it with 200K on it. Put about 30000K in less than a year. My buddy who sold it to me said that Toyotas usually last pretty long. He used to work at Lexus and has seen 300K-500K on the regular.
If you're up with your maintenance you should be fine.
In the past year the most expensive thing I had done was have the Air/Fuel sensor replaced... could have done it myself but I worried it would have needed a torch to get it loose. I've also continued the undercoating(wurth) that the original owner used to do. If anything, rust is your biggest enemy.

1999 Honda VFR800 Interceptor (sport-touring motorcycle) - 210K before I sold it (original engine/transmission)
1988 Honda Prelude - 320K before selling it
Both of my current cars (Accord Sport and MX-5 both have under 50K on them, but I'm planning on driving both to the ground)

My 2006 Sienna CE has 390. I am looking into changing the acc. Drive belt and water pump etc. just as a precaution. I run it on synthetic oil. It doesn't burn or lose any. I prefer driving it than my Sedona which is nearly new.

I have a 2011 Sienna XLE with 267,000 miles with no major issues so far. Just the power door cables. Runs like a dream and rides like a limo.

I am also in Toyota / Honda high mileage club.ruchir wrote: ↑ Interesting! I didn't even remember that I started this thread in 2010. Lol.......
I must have started it because I bought a used 2006 Sienna in 2010 around the time I created the thread. I was just curious about the longevity and reliability of Toyota since that was my first Toyota ever. I had a GM prior to that so you can understand why I was antsy.
Ok, so since 2010, I have driven my Sienna 188,000 kms. Have driven it to New Foundland and all of maritimes, US mid-west and all the way to Florida. I cancelled my CAA membership the day I bought Sienna. Since then, I also bought a Corolla.
The only maintenance ever done on both cars is oil change, tires, brakes and battery. That's 7 years of ownership of a used Toyota Sienna and a Corolla. Although, I think its now time for some minor repairs.
To say that I am satisfied will be an understatement. I wonder what made me buy a GM before that. I shudder at the thought. I hear GM and Ford have made great strides in last 5-10 years but I guess I am too traumatized to ever go back to a GM again
My next car is sure going to be a Toyota (or a Lexus).
2001 Dodge Neon, bought at 150k km, sold at 180k km, lots of problems.
2006 Toyota Yaris LE standard, bought at 180k km, sold at 230k km, run like a new, very quiet engine.
2009 Honda Civic LX-S standard, bought at 210k km, sold at 230k km, with some clicking sound from the engine.
2011 Toyota Sienna LE, bought at 200k km, now 230k km, run like new condition after spark plugs, transmission fluid were changed. Also changed a motor fan.
I feel Toyota is more realiable than Honda, and far far better than dodge, my personal opinion.

275,000 on a 2004.
Not a rattle or squeak. We have maintained it well.
However there is what sounds like a slowly worsening valve train rattle that occurs under light acceleration that has developed over the last year.
Surprising considering it has only seen synthetic oil and regular changes based on a severe maintenance schedule.
Body is in great shape.
Non maintenance items have been the steering rack, passenger power sliding door cable. Still has the original exhaust.
It has been a very durable vehicle but the engine noise is disappointing considering I would have though this would have been a strong point given how it was treated but it doesn't owe us anything at this point.

1999 GMC Sierra 330K
2000 GMC Sierra 325K
2000 still going strong, but the 99 dropped a tranny this summer.
Best truck I ever had was a 1982 Ford F350 with over 500K

You're doing better than us; our 2006 Sienna LTD had an engine failure at 220k kms (about 80k kms after timing belt / water pump were replaced)

My 2011 Sienna barely makes it to 50k without a new transmission, so good luck getting to 300.
1st transmission lasted 51k, 2nd 47k, 3rd 37k and 4th 27k. See a problem here!
Toyota says this is driver related. Doubt my soccer mom wife is racing on weekends. "Toyota Care" really stands for Toyota Cares Less.
Sick joke

Maybe on every cold day she revs it for 5 minutes until the engine is warmed up.
Or she does a paul walker. Fish tail 180 spin & flip it into reverse . Drive Reverse red line full speed!!
