Changing Vista Wake Up Settings
my computer wakes up when the mouse is moved, but i wanted to know if that can be changed.
idealy i'd like to disable the 'mouse movement' wake up setting and only have it awake when a keyboard button is pressed or the power button is pressed.
anyone have a way of doing this.
i'm using a desktop computer.
Thanks.

Those settings should be in the BIOS.

I assume you are using Vista.
To disable the mouse wakeup:
1. Open Device Manager
2. Select Mice and other pointing devices
3. Select your mouse device then double click to open the properties
4. Click the Power Management tab
5. Uncheck "Allow this device to wake the computer.
Similarly for other devices.
Give it a try and hope this helps.
