Cheap durable laser/inkjet printer?
After failed in finding compatiable ink cartridge or refills for my Lexmark X2840, I think it's about time that I should get a more durable printer for school. Is there any recommandations or deals going on right now?
thanks

If you don't do a lot of colour printing, I suggest you to buy a laser printer. Refilling the Cartridge is ~$40 - $50 ... depending on the machine but it can give you 500+ of printing paper. Also it doesn't dry out if you don't use the printer for a long time. If you are buying as yourself and not have a lot of money since your a student .. got something like

if you can get you parents to buy ... get the 4 in 1 Samsung SCX-4521F Laser printer. it's $200 - $250 CAD at business depot
Me as a student my self i find have teh samsung one really helpful cuz it scan to computer, Printing from computer, it fax and photocopy.

+1, and unlike inkjets which have expiry dates, that are set to stop working, you wont be screwed if you run out of toner, you can shake the toner a few times, and can get a few more pages out
