Please, no fast food and preferably Asian, but anything will do as long as its a hot meal (and relatively healthy)
Eat at First Markham Place food court. Your typical Char Siu rice is under $7 after tax, which is barely or not even possible in Richmond Hill.
Restoran Malaysia if you want decent portions of Thai/Malay/Singapore food under $15 after tax.
Hong Far Cafe at Richlane has a special menu that includes a drink for around $7-8 after tax. Takeout has a 10% discount.

Or just go to T&T, buy like a case of noodles for $15-20, grab a few cans of luncheon meat, buy some eggs, boil some cheap lettuce and call it a night for the next month.

What's your budget? And what can you cook?

You can save if you are willing to cook even just your rice or whatever.

hope 6-7$ all in for a set of meat, rice, and veggies. I get full easily so i dont need a lot. The small bento boxes at papachang looks good.

I CAN cook but limited (or i can just steam/use my instant pot and add some salt/pepper).

tomato fried egg is my specialty :)

but i also want to save on time and doing the dishes.

Let's not go off topic, the Korean BBQ Grill at Commerce Gate has cheap lunch boxes. Steam Legend at 328 Hwy 7, in the same plaza as Saigon Star, has decent specials thats fairly healthy.

30

why?
The way you are talking its like you are 16 or something. You are 30 years old and your parents go out of town and you cant fend for yourself and cook some meals? not to mention you are 30 living with your parents.

it doesnt matter...there's another place i live but i'll be staying at my parents to look after the pets and cooking for 1 person is a PITA. I also didn't say I COULDN'T cook. Its just better use of my resources to actually just buy something.

and plus, im sure this thread will be useful to a lot of people.
