Cheap*** (Sub $300) Watch Appreciation thread!

Judging from the number of posts and views in the Citizen thread, it would seem to me that there are a fair number of people interested in low/mid-end watches. While there is the original 'watch lovers' thread, I find it a bit uncomfortable posting my sub $15 (!) watches over there, so I've decided to start this low-end watch thread instead.

First up is my perpetual calendar Citizen I picked up 3 years ago for ~$120 at the warehouse sale.

Likes: Solid, quality feel; sporty looks; perpetual calendar means you never have to re-adjust the date; chronograph; bright lume
Dislikes: Accidental turn of the crown changes watch mode; chronograph too difficult to read; not too accurate at +15 secs/month
Was one of my daily watches until I picked up the AT watch last year, but still one of my favourites.

Next is my rough-wear watch, the cheap ($13?$10? I can't remember) Casio I bought courtesy of the RFD Zellers/Casio price error (?) thread from 4 years ago:

Likes: Lots of features - 5 alarms, dual time, timer, stopwatch, moon phases/tide-watch tracking, manual compass; large display, very lightweight; water resistant; battery rated for 10 years!; extremely accurate; and DIRT CHEAP!
Dislikes: Feels cheap
The most amazing thing about this watch is its accuracy +18 seconds .... in ONE YEAR!!! I have a feeling this is probably more accurate than my AT watch if I turned the automatic time-keeping adjustment off ...

Yeah, the 007 I posted above on the super oyster is my daily watch. I love it and get a lot of compliments on it.

Citizen warehouse sale, twice a year (typically June & Dec). A few things to keep in mind:
- very long line-ups: 3+ hours if you show up at opening time on first day, and of course most of the good selection will be gone after 3 hours
- best selection if you are in the first few groups, but be prepared to line up early
- 1 year international warranty (and not the typical 5 years offered by Citizen)

My pride and joy (for watches, that is):
Promaster Carbon AT for about $250 tax in. All the goodness of the 3rd gen Skyhawk but without the slide rule. A bit chunky, but you definitely know when you are wearing it.
