Cheapest way to print out ebooks??

I'm looking for some of the cheapest ways to print out pdfs and other files that contain primarily text.
Is it going to a place like staples? what other places are there?

Is it buying a printer and doing it myself? What kind of printer would be best suited for the job?

What other solutions are there??

Years ago, in the windows 98 days, there was a piece of shareware/freeware... the name evades me now, but it used to print four pages per sheet of paper.... it was tiny tiny print though.... you might want to search download.com.

If you are printing a lot I would say it would be cheaper to buy your own printer - but not inkjet. Perhaps a second hand laser printer?

New laser printers are pretty cheap now and often are as cheap as new cartridges. If you buy a used printer you can't know how much toner is left and you might have to buy a new cartridge soon (or refill it). Either way, you're likely looking at a cost of 5 cents a page plus the cost of the printer.

Are you sure it wouldn't be better all the way around if you just bought the actual book (in paper format)?

If you're able, that is the absolute CHEAPEST option you've got. Technically, you're getting PAID to print
