I've seen Cheesecake Factory cheesecake on the menu at Halibut House (fish and chips chain). Plenty of those in the GTA and never a wait!
Friendly reminder: South Street is the second coming of Licks, and Works Burger is a bad ripoff of Red Robin put out by those purveyors of garbage, MTY Shit Restaurants Group.

While the cheesecake was good, cheesecake is not a choice of food I would order at a restaurant under usual circumstances.
For unhealthy deserts, I much prefer ice cream to cheesecakes, but I rarely order desert type items at any non-fast food type restaurants.
But at least with the cheesecake you are getting a real cheesecake. The ice cream might not be ice cream at all. It may be nothing more than a frozen dessert.

They have two new flavours: Cinnabon Cinnamon Cheesecake and Cherry Chocolate

Both are money!

"This fall" is coming up, which makes this place a year old now. How's the wait times now?

...and there's still a 3 hour wait to get a table at dinner time?

Are their food actually that good? Or is it just another trendy or celebrity-related or social-media thing that everyone MUST go?
I've been to the one in Buffalo few years ago... to be honest I don't remember anything particular about it...

I dont believe this at all. Every time I have been there the dish come fast and fresh. Also who in their right mind would wait 2 hours sitting at a table waiting for their first dish of food. This makes no sense.

... on a Monday too. I agree. Hard to believe the story for 2 hrs wait for the meals to come.

Told it was a 50 min wait.
buzzer when off about an hour
waited another 5-10 min on the side till a server got us.
Sit down and order time.
waited about 30 min for food, they apologized for the wait
and they brought me chicken instead of fish
ended up taking it to go

Had the impression that once you have been seated at the table, it took another 2 hrs for the meals to come to you.

This is not the same as waiting 2 hours for the first dish to arrive.

Also what did you order that they brought you chicken instead of fish? As far as I know there is nothing on the menu that you have a choice of the two that can be mixed up....

I went for lunch midweek about a month ago. They said it was going to be a 40-45 min wait (for 2 people), but ended up being more like 25 or so...maybe 30 tops. Was a couple more minutes from buzzer going off to being seated, but after that everything was quite timely, and an average wait time for food.
